 Several days before Ron Marlett was transferred to the 14th Coast Guard District Office, he took this picture of the USCGC Winnebago's starboard side when the ship was moored at Coast Guard Base Sand Island in Honolulu Harbor. On the left side of the picture are yellow Nansen bottles secured to the Winnebago's superstructure. These gauges were used by the Marine Science Technicians to take water samples when the Winnebago was on Ocean Station Victor. The buoy tender in the background is the USCGC Buttonwood
