Starting in 2015, Ron Marlett began caring for his friend Anthony's parents. Ron would drive to Windways at Laguna Beach every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to provide services for Sydney and John Mack. Windways' garage was converted into a studio apartment where their tenant Beverly Barnes lived with her dog Beni. In this picture, Ron is standing on Windways' front porch holding Beni. Beni was a small Yorkshire Terrier who loved being around people and Ron soon became one of Beni's many friends.
