Ron Marlett and the Sea Scouts at Fish Harbor.

1966

Ship 469 kept its two boats moored at Fish Harbor in San Pedro, California. The power boat was a 24-foot captain's gig and the second boat was a 22-foot pulling boat. In this picture, Ron is standing on the bow of the pulling boat as his fellow Sea Scouts prepare to get underway. The Sea Scouts were required to participate in cruises in order to advance in rank. This cruise ended prematurely  when the Coast Guard had to tow them back to Fish Harbor.
