USCGC Winnebago at Pier 12 in Honolulu Harbor.

1970

Shortly after Ron Marlett was assigned to the USCGC Winnebago, he took this picture of the cutter tied up to Pier 12 in Honolulu Harbor. The Winnebago was having engine room repairs done before she departed for Ocean Station Victor. To the right of Pier 12 is Nimitz Highway. Years later in 1994, the entire area was redesigned and the warehouse on Pier 12 was torn down. The area is now called the Aloha Tower Marketplace which is considered a tourist spot for visitors. The revitalization project included a free standing Aloha Tower, Hawaii Maritime Center, and the historic ship Falls of Clyde.
