Shortly after his 64th birthday, Ron Marlett began work on his third humorist painting called My Tahitian Selfie. Ron purchased a poster of Gauguin's painting Two Tahitian Women, 1899. In this photograph, Ron is beginning to apply the details to the woman on the left side of the painting. Ron enjoyed working on this painting because it brought back a lot of memories of his facination with Tahiti when he was a young man. |
