In the summer of 1967, Ron Marlett bought his first surfboard and began his surfing career that lasted 12 years. The surfboard was a used 50-50 longboard made by Hansen Surfboards. Two years after this photograph was taken, Ron cut the 10-foot longboard down to a 7-foot board so that he could join the shortboard revolution already flourishing by 1969. |
