Ron Marlett poses with his homemade tri-fin shortboard in front of the apartment he rented in Waikiki. Before glassing the board, Ron painted two fish on the board’s bottom. Ron did most of his surfing at a spot known as Pops, which is a reef break 200 yards from the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. |
