Ron Marlett took this photograph of himself while exploring the smaller end of the island called Tahiti Iti. Ron made his own fiberglass hat to give him more protection from the frequent rain storms that poured across the island's mountains. During his last mountain excursion in February 1979, Ron was caught in a flash flood and lost his diary and sketchbook. |
