Ron Marlett was transfered to the 14th Coast Guard District and was stationed aboard the cutter Winnebago. His first 2 weeks onboard the Winnebago were spent working in the ship's galley. A shipmate took this photo of Ron resting on the Winnebago's fantail after completing his evening duties. The next day, the Winnebago steamed out to sea and took up her ocean station position between Midway Island and Japan. |
