Ron Marlett's oldest brother Rob completed Officers Candidate School and was stationed at Kaiserslautern, Germany in May. Rob was assigned to the 83rd Transportation Company as platoon leader in charge of moving refrigerated cargo (mostly milk and cheese) from Rotterdam, Holland, to various US Army commissaries in western and southern Germany. In this photograph, LT Marlett is standing on one of the 5-ton diesel tractors that were used in his platoon. |
