Lieutenant Robert Marlett had many responsibilities while serving as the Battalion Adjutant in the US Army's 53rd Transportation Battalion. In one of Rob's duties, he was in charge of the Battalion Safety Patrol which consisted of 2 units. The Safety Patrol cruised the German Autobahn assisting company tractor-trailers that broke down, and as a goodwill gesture, helped German citizens who needed road side assistance. |
