Ron Marlett's father Howard sitting at his desk in the living room of their Canoga Park home. Shortly after Ron joined Ship 469, Howard volunteered to be the Ship's skipper. Howard studied diligently and passed his boating lisence and radio operator exams. He was a very dedicated skipper and helped Ron and other scouts in the Ship to advance in rank. Behind Howard is one of Ron's model ships, the 1/89 scale Santa Maria by Revell. |
