Ron Marlett's painting of a clipper ship.

1966

During Ron Marlett's youth, he considered painting to be one of his hobbies. Painting did not take up most of his hobby time, preferring to spend most of his time building model ships or participating in the Sea Explorer program. When Ron dabbled with his art supplies, the subjects he rendered were mostly sailing ships. After building a model of a clipper ship, Ron did this painting of the ship caught in monstrous waves.
