Ron Marlett received many commissions from Melissa Robinson who was employed at the Jacksonville Main Post Office where his brother Rob worked. In this photograph, Ron is working on a portrait of Melissa's daughter Lisa Williams. Ron used an 18/0 liner brush to render every tiny hair in the fur coat. Ron wanted the portrait to be elegant, but present Lisa's warm, friendly personality that was evident in the photographs Melissa sent Ron to aid him in creating the painting. |
