Ron Marlett's sister Glennis and her daughter Shelli have their picture taken at the family's Christmas Eve party. Originally the gifts were opened on Christmas Eve and stockings full of candy, fruit, peanuts and small gifts were given to the kids the next morning. By 1963, the gift giving tradition was changed to the kids receiving one present on Christmas Eve, and the remaining gifts in the morning to fit in with the fantasy of Santa Claus' visit during the night. |
