Ron Marlett stands near a portrait of his friend Makau Foster, one of several Tahitian friends he met at the Polynesian Cultural Center while he gathered information for his planned trip to Tahiti. Ron displayed ten large portraits of Polynesian women at his Kahala Mall show in Honoluilu, Hawaii. The paintings that did not sell were shipped back to his parents' house in California before Ron moved to Tahiti. |
