Birds and Potato Chips 18 x 14 May 12, 1998 |
Small
birds have always facinated Ron, and so he continuously finds ways of
displaying them and their behaviors in his work. In his piece Birds and Potato Chips,
a chipping sparrow perched on a pussy willow watches a cautious
northern water thrush and a flying Canada warbler helping themselves to
a bag of potato chips. The painting represents the birds' innate
disposition for seizing opportunity, and our own compassion in
providing them an easy meal. Return to Gallery |
